Beginner chord progressions – lesson 3
The third part of the lesson series beginner expand the sequence from two to three different chords. The new chords, Dm and G are among the main chords for guitarists to master.
Instructions: Both Dm and G has two standard fingerings. For the D minor, there is a choice between using the ring finger or the little finger on the 2nd string. For the G major, there is a choice between using middle, ring and little finger or index, middle and little finger.

One option in this situation is to play the D minor with five strings and the A note as the bass note. If you manage, you could play both G and G7 the same bar, as in the sequence Cm | Dm | G - G7 | C.
